Terms & responsible use

Use the tool for files you have the right to handle.

metadata.click provides local image inspection, cleaning and publishing-preparation tools. These terms set the practical boundaries of that service.

Public-beta service

The current service is provided as a free public beta. JPEG, PNG and WebP cleaning is available for supported metadata structures. DNG and Apple ProRAW remain inspection-only. Features, supported formats and reasonable safety limits may change as testing expands.

No platform or reach guarantee

Metadata cleaning does not guarantee how Instagram, Meta, Google or any other service labels, ranks, recommends, compresses or displays content. An absence of supported metadata does not prove an image is human-made, authentic or anonymous. Post Check is a file-readiness checklist, not an algorithm or reach score.

Optional AI photo analysis

Only after you press the AI optimization button, metadata.click may send a reduced metadata-free image preview and the brief you provide to a third-party AI processor. The original image is not sent by this flow. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable. Review every visible fact, caption, alt-text field and suggested value before use. Do not submit confidential content or an image you are not authorized to send for third-party processing. AI analysis does not create a platform-ranking, accuracy or availability guarantee.

Content Credentials and disclosure

Removing an embedded metadata block may not remove durable watermark, fingerprint or classifier signals. It also does not remove any legal, contractual or platform duty to disclose synthetic, materially altered or misleading media. You remain responsible for required disclosures and for preserving provenance where your workflow, client or applicable rules require it.

Your responsibility

Use metadata.click only with files you own or are authorized to process. Do not use the service to impersonate another creator, falsify forensic history, misrepresent ownership, conceal unlawful content, remove rights information you are not entitled to remove, or violate platform rules or law.

Keep originals and verify output

Always retain the original when capture history, authorship, legal evidence, archival fidelity or RAW rendering may matter. Inspect the downloaded copy in the software that will consume it before relying on the result in an important workflow.

Delivery manifests are scoped processing records

An Image Delivery Passport manifest records the current browser workflow and its stated visual-payload proof scope. It is not signed or independently timestamped and does not certify authorship, ownership, license validity, authenticity, legal chain of custody or platform treatment.

No warranty

The public-beta tool is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise that every metadata structure, malformed file or proprietary format will be detected or cleaned. To the extent allowed by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect loss, lost data, lost revenue or a platform decision arising from use of the beta service.

Paid plans

A one-time Delivery Pass may be offered through the linked merchant-of-record checkout. The exact price, currency, tax, refund and merchant disclosures shown at checkout control the purchase. A checkout-link click alone does not unlock a feature; the server must validate and redeem an eligible license key. Subscription products marked as planned or waitlisted are not a binding offer.

Contact

Product and support questions can be sent to hello@metadata.click. Merchant, tax and payment details for an available purchase are shown by the checkout provider before payment.
